Arsenal are set to take on Paris Saint-Germain in the second and final game of the International Champions Cup in Singapore.
While Arsenal lost to Atletico Madrid on penalties in the opening match of the tour, there are still a lot of positives to take, going into this match against Unai Emery’s former side, Paris Saint-Germain. The pressing was relentless and the speed of passing in transition was there for all to see. The area that Emery would look to improve this match, is the cutting edge in the final third of the pitch. There were also a couple of sloppy moments at the back, which I’m sure Juan Carlos Carcedo will be looking into. Unlike the game against Atletico, I fully expect PSG to come out and try to take the game to us. PSG have a new manager in the form of Thomas Tuchel, so expect nothing but attack minded football from them. This will end up giving us more space to exploit, which we did not have against Atletico. It makes for a mouthwatering contest. I expect an open game and cannot see either of the two sides keeping a clean sheet.
The match will be held at 12.35 pm (GMT) at the Singapore National Stadium. The game will not be shown live on Arsenal.com as they don’t have the rights to do so. However, it will be telecasted on Premier Sports, if you have subscribed to it.
Expected Arsenal lineup: (4-2-3-1): Martinez, Bellerin, Sokratis,Mavropanos,Osei-Tutu,Chambers,Maitland-Niles, Mkhitaryan,Lucas, Iwobi, Nketiah.
Score Prediction: Expect a high goal-scoring contest, with Arsenal just about edging it in the end.
