Thomas Partey started Arsenal’s first 3 games of the season and picked up an injury last week, missing home fixtures against Fulham and Aston Villa.
This was soon followed up with news of Mohamed Elneny’s injury, leaving Arsenal with Sambi Lokonga as the only option to play at the base of midfield.
Speaking about Partey’s injury on Friday, Arteta revealed: “With Thomas, we’re talking weeks but maybe shorter than that, I hope.”
Naturally, Arsenal fans were concerned about the midfield being thin, especially after missing out on Douglas Luiz on deadline day. But there is some reason for optimism when it comes to Partey’s injury return timeline which could prove to be a huge boost for us right now…
I understand that Thomas Partey trained in the morning today on an outside pitch and the session went very well. The player has started kicking ball again.
The injury isn’t a big concern and is expected to be short-term. It might just be a bit early but a source close to him says Partey is aiming to be back for the Everton game next weekend subject to clearances.
COYG!
He gets injured a lot. AM (simone) have consumed every single breath outta him :((
His return is always welcome, but something have to be done in regards to partey’s injuries, it shouldn’t be when we needed him most that injury do provent him, I can’t help but suggest we have to go for his replacement otherwise what we aimed for won’t be achieved, ever since he actually arrived arsenal which season did he manage play 10-15 game without injuries and suspection? This shows he is not reliable. Something have to be done else we will leave to regret no replacing him.
Arsenal medical team must do everything within there disposal to prevent this constant injury
nothing else , but disappointment, after arteta and edu knowing vividly that partey is due for a competition in his position with a top class player…..cos of his injury record since arriving 🛬 emirate and they’ve been failing to address it….what a shame if the season goes without competing for pl , fa, europa and carabao cup ✅✅
Let’s look for a worthy replacement. Injuries come and go but the most important thing is to work out our way as a team that is multifaceted. That makes us compete as a team.
Partey seems to fear the big matches of the epl. He wants to come on during simple matches. Without a reliable mid-fielder. Arsenal I yet to miss out on top Four.
Defenders need a serious lecture on how to get organized during tough matches. How does 3 defends stand flat on the same line to allow counter attacks???
Blame always goes the wrong side. The engine of the car always gets more problems because of the load it carries.
How can we blame players and spare the management of Arsenal fc? Day in day out the management sees where problem is but to they ignore their responsibility of seeking right Team depths is that the problem of players?
I will not mince my words here, there’s dead wood in the Arsenal administration who care not on the standard of the team but money.
Look at the quality of our bench and compare it with our top competitors.
On behalf of our Arsenal supporters, I appeal to the technical Team Edu and Arteta expose the Deadwood in administration those who make your work hard especially in signing players. Remember every time you loose blame goes to coach, later, they will throw you out as none performers/failures.
I agree with you totally about the administration, was so disappointed we fail to bring in the extra players. It seems we have a price point and beyond that price point, we don’t go for it. Sometimes you need to overpay to get a signing over the line
truly party cannot be blamed because of his uncertain injuries but the blame goes to the board for not finding a reliable replacement for him
100% agree. We should’ve been looking for a replacement even before Elneny picked up an injury
